Non-Stop Rewinders provide fully automated transfer operations with web
tension controlled and monitored by an automatic tension
system. An operator is required only for the removal of
completed rolls. GEC Non-Stop Rewinders can operate as
stand-alone system, independent of the press. This enables
the Rewinder to be moved from press to press with relative ease Rewinders can also be fitted with a stand-alone shear slitter. The slitter unit is totally independent of the printing press. A three H.P. drive is used for the anvil cylinder so that the shear slitting station also acts as a pull station. Shear slitting and score slitting are achieved using Economy Machine Tool pneumatic cushion cut shear slitters. Nimcore bowed rollers are used for web separation. Machines can be fitted with locator pins and wheels for a total portability package. GEC website |
